Livingston boss David Martindale faces an anxious wait to discover whether the SFA will rubber-stamp his promotion to manager.
The Lions confirmed the appointment of Gary Holt's replacement on Monday but a hearing next month has been scheduled at Hampden with the Professional Game Board to assess fit and proper person suitability due to Martindale's previous conviction for organised crime offences.
After spells as coach, assistant and caretaker, the 46-year-old has been handed the reins until the end of the season after racking up four wins on the bounce as interim boss.
understands Martindale's case will be to satisfy club licensing criteria and will come under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and on the back of the appointment of David.
