DAVID Beckham is building a hill in his garden to shield his mansion from a new holiday park just yards from his bolthole. The retired footballer, 45, wants builders to raise the level of the ground 2-3metres to create earthworks around a tennis court at the side of his £6 million country pad in the Cotswolds.
The mound will create a barrier to noise and increase privacy. Works will take place during construction of a large wildlife lake he’s asked planners for permission to build at the bottom of his garden.
A source revealed: “The hill will create more privacy for the house because it will create a visual and sound barrier to the works going on across the field.
