DAME Vera Lynn, the Forces' sweetheart who became a national treasure during World War Two, has passed away today aged 103. Vera, who lived in Ditchling, East Sussex, sang iconic wartime classics We'll Meet Again and White Cliffs of Dover which not only inspired the nation but also generations to come.
