Drama unfolded at the first floor flat of 52-year-old Christian Smith on the night of December 11, 2020, following complaints to police from his estranged partner and mother of his two young children, and their school.
When police knocked on his door, he poured the contents of a petrol can over himself and out of the window, splashing the fuel into the eye of the officer, who later needed treatment at Bolton Royal Hospital. READ MORE: Man arrested after missing
