Nickelodeon star Kirk Baily dies after lung cancer battle as fans pay tribute to actor
Actor Kirk Baily has sadly passed away aged 59 following a battle with lung cancer.The 59-year-old voice actor died over the weekend, his family have confirmed to TMZ - and was diagnosed with the condition just six months ago.Baily was best known for his role as Kevin 'Ug' Lee in the hit Nickelodeon show Salute Your Shorts in 1991 and 1992; he also appeared in 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain and The Sixth Man.The star also lent his voice to various SpongeBob SquarePants characters, and appeared in Hollywood flicks like Bumblebee and Frozen.And along with his various film and TV roles, Baily was also a voice actor for a string of video games - from Condemned 2: Bloodshot to Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force.Tributes are already pouring in for the late star, with one fan tweeting: "RIP Kirk Baily. Loved his voice work in Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, Fushigi Yuugi, Kenshin, and several other 90s/early 2000s series."Another echoed: "RIP Kirk Baily.
