Cristiano Ronaldo has asked his Manchester United teammates to 'keep working hard' to deliver results this season. Ronaldo, 36, made a sensational return to United on deadline day and he wasted no time in stylishly announcing his arrival on the pitch when scoring a brace on his debut against Newcastle — goals against Young Boys, West Ham and Villarreal followed.
That meant Ronaldo scored five goals across his six appearances across all competitions in September, with three of his tally scored in the Premier League, which was enough to ensure he was named as the top flight's Player of the Month.
Ronaldo was now won Player of the Month five times — having won the honour four times during his previous stint at the club.
