A young couple who were due to travel with Ryanair this summer have been left £216 out of pocket after changing their booking, despite the airline's 'free amendments' promise.
Lewis Cavanagh, 23, and his partner James had booked to fly from Manchester Airport to Barcelona before the FCO advised against all non-essential travel to Spain this week.
Anyone visiting the European destination must now self-isolate for two weeks on their return. Instead, the couple decided to visit a different country and take advantage of the airline's free 'free flight amendments' promise which was introduced due to covid-19.
