Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero was reportedly left “unimpressed” by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ’s decision to recall David de Gea for Sunday’s Europa League semi-final against Sevilla.
The Red Devils were dumped out of the competition after a 2-1 defeat in Germany, with Luuk de Jong’s close-range strike 12 minutes from time meaning they became the first ever English team to lose three semi-finals in one season.Solskjaer had given backup shot-stopper Romero the nod in nine of United’s previous 11 Europa League outings, but in Sunday’s all-important clash with the Spanish club he opted to bring De Gea back into the side.
