Chris Willman Music WriterOn Tuesday, the “news” came out that Morgan Wallen would be playing his first live show since the controversy over his being caught saying the N-word on camera caused him to go into apologetic seclusion.

There was just one problem: the so-called comeback show, at a country music festival in Kansas in late June, was actually announced last September, not this week, and sources say it’s highly unlikely he’ll fulfill the gig, as a guy with much bigger fish to fry right now than fulfilling a contractual obligation in Topeka.
