A 110-year-old coronavirus patient was clapped out of hospital as one of the world's oldest survivors. Pensioner Davino Cordeiro left the Centre for the Control and Combat of Coronavirus in the city of Campos dos Goytacazes, Rio de Janeiro, after being treated for 18 days.

Davino had been admitted into the medical facility on June 19, but had not needed to be treated in the Intensive Care Unit. He has now beaten the virus and in the video he can be seen being wheeled into a corridor lined with medics who applaud him on his way out.

His family of seven children, 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren celebrated him being discharged, with his granddaughter Luciana Cordeiro Leodoro saying: "All my cousins and I were really scared for
