No new coronavirus deaths recorded by Greater Manchester's hospitals

coronavirus deaths have been recorded by hospitals in Greater Manchester in the latest figures released by the NHS. Each day the NHS in England publishes on the number of deaths recorded by each hospital trust in the last 24 hour period.

These are deaths where the person had tested positive for the virus or where COVID-19 was mentioned on their death certificate.These often sometimes include previously uncounted deaths that took place several days - or even weeks ago.However they do not include deaths in care homes, the community or other settings.

The Department of Health and Social Care last week announced it was pausing its reporting of deaths in all settings, pending an urgent review into how Public Health England (PHE) calculates those.
