Coronavirus cases in Scotland rise to 85 as government confirm number of patients with deadly disease

85 patients have now been diagnosed with Coronavirus in Scotland - after 25 new cases were confirmed today. The Scottish Government revealed the new cases this afternoon, just hours after the Scottish FA cancelled all domestic professional and grassroots football until further notice.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon also revealed yesterday gatherings of over 500 were to be banned from Monday. The First Minister announced the action in Scotland to protect the resilience of the emergency services until the impact of the virus has lessened substantially.A total of 3,314 tests have been concluded in Scotland with 3,229 negative.The infected patients are from the following NHS health boards;Ayrshire and Arran - 4Borders - 3Fife - 4Forth Valley
