Barcelona and Real Madrid may not play again this season after La Liga president Javier Tebas’s claims that the campaign could be cancelled due to coronavirus worries.
Spain is currently in lockdown after the number of cases of the virus escalated over the weekend, with all football suspended until April 4 at least.
The country is now second only to Italy in the number of deaths recorded throughout Europe and this figure is expected to rapidly increase.
And Tebas insists he would have no issue in writing off the season if it meant the virus had a better chance of being contained.
