Things took a dark turn when Shona fell victim to a shooting on Christmas Day and suffered brain damage and memory loss as a result.
After waking up from her coma, the Roy's Rolls waitress didn't remember David and asked for a divorce, which he didn't take very well and at one point even tried to sleep with Seb's ex and telesales agent Alina Pop.
But Corrie's showrunner Iain MacLeod warns that while it will be a "bumpy road", all hope is not lost and there is light at the end of the tunnel for the duo.
