CORONATION Street boss Iain MacLeod reveals fed-up fans stop him in public to complain about "terrible" storylines. The ITV soap's producer says random members of the public will stop him to give feedback on what they're seeing on their screens.
However, Iain admits the writing team has to stay strong, despite receiving criticism from both online and on the street. "People are very quick to tell me their opinions.
It’s a funny old job working in soap," he told the Daily Star. "If you were in any other job, very rarely would a random member of the public come up to you and go, ‘You’re doing this wrong’ or, ‘That’s terrible.’ In most jobs you don’t get that instant feedback." He added: "We get quite a bit online.
