Coronation Street star Beverley Callard believes the ghost of Deirdre Barlow actress Anne Kirkbride came to visit her on set to say goodbye.
Soap veteran Beverley, who plays Liz McDonald, said she felt the presence of Anne’s ghost as she prepares to call time on more than 30 years on the show.
She said the bespectacled phantom often visits the set to ensure the cast are well and are working hard. Cobbles icon Anne died after a short battle with breast cancer in 2015 aged 60 following more than 40 years on the soap.
