Kirk Sutherland is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, Coronation Street. The character first appeared on-screen during the episode airing on 22 May 2000, played by an uncredited actor and originally referred to as Mark. From October onwards, he is played by Andrew Whyment.

dailystar.co.ukCoronation Street star Andy Whyment has confirmed when ITV will likely run out of pre-recorded episodes of the soap. Filming of Corrie has been suspended since late March, with ITV cancelling production as a health and safety precaution during the coronavirus pandemic.
Since then, the soap has been reduced from six to three episodes each week in an effort to spread out the pre-recorded instalments.
Speaking on the United Podcast earlier this week, Andy – who plays Kirk Sutherland on Corrie – confirmed how many weeks of episodes remain.
He said: "I think we've got until the beginning of July in the can. "So we need to get back hopefully by the middle of June with a bit of luck, otherwise it's going to go off-air." The 39-year-old soap star
