Ed Sheeran has said he feels “proud” to have made a video that brought the late Jamal Edwards’ “vision to life”.Edwards suffered a cardiac arrest at home in Acton, west London on 20 February after taking recreational drugs.Sheeran revealed that he had approached Edwards some time ago to make the video for his collaboration with Russ on his latest track, ‘Are You Entertained’.In a new post on Instagram, Sheeran revealed that Edwards had planned out the whole video for Sheeran but just before they started shooting, Edwards died.Sheeran went on to explain that Edwards’ mum Brenda and his sister Tanisha said they told him they should still make the video in order to make “Jamal’s vision come to life”.“I felt so sad on the day,” Sheeran said when they started filming, “but very proud.” He went on: “I wish Jam was here to see it, I wish we’d done it together, but he would be buzzing how all his people came together and brought his vision to life.”A post shared by Ed Sheeran (@teddysphotos)It’s been incredible seeing my Son Jamal’s creative vision come to life for this video. Marilyn Stasio Theater CriticPlaywright Matthew Spangler’s adaptation of “The Kite Runner,” Khaled Hosseini’s bestselling 2005 novel about the friendship of two boys living parallel lives in Afghanistan, is a heartbreaker – but so uplifting, it’s worth the pain.The scribe puts it succinctly when he tells us, in a program note for the current Broadway production, that “this is a story about a father and son; two best friends; a husband and wife; immigration; the relative peace of 1970s Afghanistan; global politics; class and ethnicity; and much more.” More pointedly, he adds that, above all else, this epic-scaled drama is “a story of guilt and redemption.”If there’s a fault in Spangler’s meticulous adaptation and Giles Croft’s dynamically inventive direction, it’s that Amir (Amir Arison, who grasps this demanding role with both hands and holds on for dear life), the flawed hero based on the author’s biographical persona, is so exceedingly selfish and cruel to his loyal best friend in Act I, it takes herculean acts of atonement in Act II to earn his righteous redemption. As narrator of his own story, Amir initially presents himself as an adult, but a call from Afghanistan offers him “a way to be good again” if he will return home — and to the pivotal events that forged his character at the age of 12.

Snoop Dogg of sexual assault has revived the lawsuit against the rapper, three months after the case was initially dismissed.The Jane Doe accuser first filed the lawsuit in a Los Angeles federal court on February 9, claiming that Snoop (real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr.) and his associate Bishop Don “Magic” Juan (Donald Campbell) assaulted her after she attended the rapper’s concert at Club Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim, California on May 29, 2013.In response, Snoop Dogg asked a federal judge to dismiss the suit, claiming the allegations were “implausible and false”.In the 17-page dismissal filed on February 24 and obtained by Rolling Stone, the rapper denied that he cornered an unidentified woman in a recording studio bathroom nearly nine years ago and forced her into a sex act.“Nothing remotely resembling plaintiff’s story about defendant Calvin Broadus ever happened. He vehemently denies ever engaging in any sex act with the plaintiff or assaulting or battering her,” his lawyers wrote in court filings.Asked by Rolling Stone whether the woman ever worked for Snoop, a spokesperson for the rapper claimed there were no records of the woman’s employment.

Ricky Martin has spoken out for the first time since the withdrawal of a lawsuit by his nephew, which accused him of sexual assault.Yesterday (July 21), a judge dismissed the temporary restraining order against Martin after his accuser asked to have the case dropped.The singer’s 21-year-old nephew, Dennis Yadiel Sanchez, was previously granted a restraining order against Martin after accusing him of sexual abuse. According to attorneys for Martin, Sanchez asked to have the case dismissed in a Puerto Rican court today (July 21) and his request was obliged.“The accuser confirmed he was satisfied with his legal representation in the matter.

To say the very least, it’s a lot.  All that immense pain could prove overwhelming for the reader, yet the author’s gift for writing sumptuous imagery and tender, nuanced relationships softens the blow.

50 Cent stars in is so scary that it caused a cameraman to pass out while shooting, according to its director.The film, called Saw House, has previously been compared to Saw and will explore the drawbacks of social media and influencer culture.The film’s director, Josh Stolberg, revealed that when filming a recent scene, a cameraman passed out for 30 minutes, such was the goriness of the scene.Stolberg tweeted: “Yikes!!! We shot a kill scene last night and the camera operator became so nauseated that he passed out and the camera crashed to the ground.
