Britain could face another winter of coronavirus restrictions if we don't act now to curb the virus, Professor Chris Whitty has warned.
The Chief Medical Officer gave his dire warning as he stressed the importance of people acting now to curb the spread of the virus.
Prof Whitty said that people shouldn't imagine that the virus would disappear with the Spring as he stressed the vaccine timetable was “realistic but not easy”.
Boris Johnson has said there is a “prospect” the coronavirus lockdown in England can be eased in mid-February. Earlier today Michael Gove admitted that the current restrictions could drag into March - but it is the first admission from a senior figure that restrictions could drag on for many many months.
