China's 'reunification' with Taiwan feared as country warns opposition will be 'crushed'

China has sparked new "reunification" fears, warning the world that anyone trying to stop them will be "crushed" in their rumoured invasion of Taiwan.China's foreign minister Wang Yi made the fresh and fiery comments while pushing the long held belief that the country owns Taiwan, which was separated from the mainland after a civil war in 1949.Speaking to the United Nations, Yi warned that there can only be "true peace" once the two countries have reunified.READ MORE: Sick Russian troops to initiate Putin's conscripts by 'raping and torturing them'The foreign minister also warned that anybody who tried to stop China in their conquest would be "crushed by the wheels of history".Yi said: "Only when China is fully reunified can there be true peace across the Taiwan Strait."He added also that Beijing would "take the most forceful steps to oppose external interference" referencing those that dare to even recognise Taiwan as a separate country. ]The worrying speech comes just days after the United States president, Joe Biden, reiterated his support for the One China policy during a speech also made at the UN.President Biden made the speech as a follow up to his claim that the American military would step in to defend Taiwan, which it currently sells arms to, if China invaded.

It was at the UN conference that Mr Wang's appearance marked the first in-person attendance of a Chinese representative at a UN event in two years.President Xi Jingping of China did however skip out on the event, as did Russian despot Vladimir Putin.

Speaking to the UN on Wednesday, Biden said: "We remain committed to our One China policy, which has helped prevent conflict for four decades.
