Charity shops across the country remain closed as the coronavirus lockdown continues. However people are leaving bags and items outside the doors of a number of Manchester's charity shops.
In Chrolton the the Barnados store on Barlow Moor Road now has a sign in its window asking the public not to leave anything outside - but items such as bed frames, clothes and toys are still being left by people on the pavement.
One resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “It’s becoming unsanitary as stuff has been left since lockdown began. “It’s sad as most of the kind donations are ruined. “Barnardos can’t do anything at the moment either until it’s safe.” Earlier this month, the Charity Retail Association (CRA) urged the public to hold onto
