Having drawn 1-1 with Burnley at the weekend, Liverpool need seven points from their last three games to match Manchester City ’s record points total in the Premier League.
City became the first club to reach the 100-point mark two seasons ago, but Liverpool could still surpass their record with three wins out of three.
They will have to beat Arsenal, Chelsea and Newcastle, however, so it will be a tough ask even for a team which has been so dominant this term.
Whether or not Liverpool set a new record, it won’t be easy for Jurgen Klopp to improve his side this summer. While he’s unlikely to make wholesale changes, there are certainly some areas where he can add strength in depth.
