It's the Champions League, but not as we know it. The oddness of 2020 takes a new twist this week as Europe's premier football competition is settled over seven one-legged ties in empty stadiums in Lisbon, starting with the first of the quarter-finals on Wednesday night between Atalanta and Paris Saint-Germain.
The usual, hard slog of a format of two-legged knockout tie on the way to the final has had to be scrapped for obvious reasons, as Europe's last eight compete for the big trophy in Portugal.
