They encouraged clubs to join and Celtic have laid out their reasons for the four-day silence in a bold address against sickening abuse directed at club figures throughout the season.
The boycott runs parallel to a similar initiative in England from 3pm on Friday to 11.59pm on Monday, while Rangers players and staff switched off earlier this month for a weekend.
