Cause of Ayr explosion not yet known as gas turned back on for homes near blast site

dailyrecord.co.ukInvestigations remain ongoing to determine the cause of a massive explosion in Ayr which left a family-of-four seriously injured.
Engineers from gas company SGN remain at the scene in Gorse Park and are assisting the emergency services with their probe. The distribution company says they have been able to install a temporary above ground gas line to provide fuel for properties near the blast site.They are urging any residents who are concerned about turning their supply back on to contact one of their staff to help.
