However, she also has an extensive writing résumé, including co-penning feature comedy films “Bride Wars” and “Ass Backwards.” Now, she is about to publish her first book, “Wreckage of My Presence,” out May 4 from Harper, a collection of essays reflecting on her familial and romantic relationships and some of her past work, all through a humorous lens.Some stories just aren’t concluded yet, in a way, and I think it’s easier to write things in hindsight.
