Oscar-nominated animator Tomm Moore will be suited and booted in an altered tuxedo with his fingernails painted black as he watches the Academy Awards unfold in Tinseltown — from a tent pitched at Kilkenny Castle.

The Cartoon Saloon founder and his co-director Ross Stewart have been nominated for their fourth Oscar with their fantastical animated feature Wolfwalkers, which is set in medieval Kilkenny, their hometown.

Due to the pandemic, the talented animators couldn’t make the trip to Los Angeles for the star-studded ceremony this year, but instead, they decided to bring a bit of Hollywood closer to home.
