CAROL Vorderman paid tribute to her beloved mum Jean ahead of Mother's Day this weekend. The presenter, now 61, lost her mum in 2017 after her fourth battle with cancer.

She shared a photo of her entire family months before Jean lost her lifel. They all smiled broadly with Carol sitting proudly by her mother in a bright yellow dress.

Carol caption the Twitter post: "Mothers Day 2017. Mum had been diagnosed with terminal cancer a week before. "So I got a beautiful room in ⁦@ivycliftonbrass⁩ for all of us to celebrate her.

Mum had lived with me & worked for me since the 1980s. 24/7 it was always us. She died 2 months after this photo." Carol battled depression after her mother's death which was made worse by her journey through menopause.
