Carol Vorderman has travelled back in time with her latest hairstyle, opting to return to her natural brown roots ahead of her 60th birthday.

The 59-year-old radio star, who will turn 60 on Christmas Eve, has been working caramel blonde locks for years, styled in feathered layers.However, taking to Twitter this week, Carol debuted a chic new look, swapping her blonde tresses for a shade of chocolate brown.With a blunt fringe sweeping across her forehead and a choppy shoulder-length cut, Carol worked a similar ‘do to her early years as a presenter on Countdown.While Carol has worked a number of looks over the years – from The Rachel haircut to a perm – she rose to fame in the late 80s with a brunette fringed look on the Channel 4 quiz.
