The 35-year-old actress will portray Felicia Montealegre Cohn Bernstein in the movie, who was married to Leonardo Bernstein.
If you don’t know much about Leonard, he is a world-famous composer best known for his Broadway musical West Side Story. Bradley will take on the title role.
Bradley is also directing and writing the screenplay and shooting will begin in the spring, Deadline reports. “We’re absolutely thrilled that Carey Mulligan will play our mother in Maestro,” the Bernstein kids said in a statement. “Carey will surely capture Felicia’s unique combination of wit, warmth, elegant beauty, and depth of emotion.
