A care assistant took a fatal overdose after struggling to cope with the death of her sister. Sheila Greenhalgh, 54, was found at her home in Wilmot Street, Bolton, on November 17.
An inquest into her death was opened at Bolton Coroner's Court on Monday. Police coroner's officer Neil McCaffrey told the brief hearing that Ms Greenhalgh had suffered from depression following her sister's death in 2017.
He added that she had talked about taking her life about five months before her own death. The body of Ms Greenhalgh, who worked with elderly people, was found by her brother at her Halliwell home.
