crash because she had her feet up on the dashboard has revealed what her new head is made of.Gráinne Kealy, now 38, was left without a forehead for two years after her knees were slammed into her face at 120mph when her boyfriend's jeep skidded on black ice and hit a wall, inflating the air bag, in their native Ireland.Gráinne, who was 22 at the time of the crash in 2006, previously said she was still dealing with the effects of brain injury years on, but her prosthetic forehead means she no longer has a noticeable injury.

She was rushed to hospital with every bone in her face broken, and was also left with a brain leak called a CSF (Cerebrospinal Fluid). After doctors operated on her to fix this, she developed an infection and had to have her forehead removed.

She was left like this for two years until 2009 when doctors offered a solution. Gráinne told Ireland AM: “I looked… scary. I mean, part of your face is missing.

And you can touch your brain.“My doctors loved me - because you’re never going to get to touch the brain of someone who is alive.”Opening up about how her new forehead was created, she said: “It’s ceramic.” “It was made in Italy - I like to think it’s designer!” she joked.
