CALL the Midwife fans have rumbled the sneaky way how BBC bosses hid Helen George's pregnancy in its latest episode. Fans of the show bid an emotional farewell to midwife Trixie Franklin in a recent episode of the BBC show, as the nurse flew to Portofino to look after her sick aunt.
That’s because Helen, the actress that plays her, took some time out of filming to give birth to her own baby - second daughter Lark.
Helen and her former co-star Jack Ashton welcomed little Lark in November, a baby sister for their older daughter Wren, four.
And the Call the Midwife cast and crew have been very open about how they kept Helen’s growing bump hidden during filming for series eleven.
