Around 50,000 passengers set to sail on Brittany Ferries will have their travel plans disrupted after the firm announced plans to cut sailings following quarantine restrictions.
It follows a weekend where 35,000 passengers either cancelled or delayed their travel plans following the Government decision.
The French ferry firm warned that demand for autumn sailings is “extremely weak”, as the coronavirus pandemic continues to affect the demand for foreign holidays.
In a normal year, between 2.5 and 2.7 million passengers travel each year, with the firm reporting an annual turnover of €444.2m.
