A group of classical musicians was forced to charter a fishing boat to make it back to the UK from France before a 14-day coronavirus travel quarantine rule went into effect.
The Dunedin Consort, an award-winning baroque ensemble based in Edinburgh, shared photos on Twitter as its members embarked on the unusual journey across the Channel just a few hours before the 4am Saturday deadline.
They made it back in time along with thousands of Britons who were on holiday in France when the Government announced, with just over 24 hours' notice, that France was being put back on the travel "red list".
However, many Britons weren't able to before 4am or decided to stay put amid a mad dash home which saw Eurotunnel trains fully booked and airfare
