Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is the 45th and current president of the United States. Before entering politics, he was a businessman and television personality. Trump was born and raised in the New York City borough of Queens, and received a bachelor's degree in economics from the Wharton School. He took charge of his family's real-estate business in 1971, renamed it The Trump Organization, and expanded its operations from Queens and Brooklyn into Manhattan.

The company built or renovated skyscrapers, hotels, casinos, and golf courses. Trump later started various side ventures, mostly by licensing his name. He owned the Miss Universe and Miss USA beauty pageants from 1996 to 2015, and produced and hosted The Apprentice, a reality television show, from 2003 to 2015. Forbes estimates his net worth to be $3.1 billion.

Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. (born November 20, 1942) is an American politician who served as the 47th vice president of the United States from 2009 to 2017 and represented Delaware in the U.S. Senate from 1973 to 2009. A member of the Democratic Party, Biden is the presumptive Democratic nominee for president in the 2020 election. He unsuccessfully sought the Democratic presidential nomination in 1988 and in 2008.

British trade negotiators are courting Joe Biden's allies in case the Democrat candidate beats Donald Trump in the White House race, a Government minister revealed today.

Trade Minister Greg Hands also said chlorinated chicken would remain off the menu in the UK even if a deal is struck with the US.

Campaigners claim American farmers are desperate to be allowed to send cheap, chemically-washed poultry across the Atlantic – potentially piling pressure on British producers who cannot compete on price because of higher UK welfare standards.

Speaking at a Conservative Party conference fringe meeting, Mr Hands said existing EU rules banned chlorinated chicken, and the UK would maintain the ban once the Brexit transition ends this year.
