At least 100 ISIS fighters have reportedly been killed as special forces target British jihadis in northern Iraq. SAS snipers have been tracking terrorists for months in the remote highlands in a "secret war".
There have reportedly been at least 10 battles between Daesh fanatics and elite troops in the past three months. Defence chiefs are desperate to avoid an ISIS resurgence in Iraq and Syria.
Secret operations have also been carried out in Syria, with British fighters identified from IDs and their DNA. British jihadis are said to have been killed in a gun battle on April 28, when 10 ISIS fighters died in the Hamrin mountains.
