Simon Phillip Cowell (born 7 October 1959) is an English television personality, businessman and record executive. He has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol (2001–2003), The X Factor (2004–2010, 2014–present) and Britain's Got Talent (2007–present), and the American television talent competition series American Idol (2002–2010), The X Factor (2011–2013), and America's Got Talent (2016–present). Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

Simon Cowell decided to use his Golden Buzzer on the second episode of Britain's Got Talent - after being blown away by stand-up comedian Axel.The hit ITV talent show has just returned with its highly-anticipated 15th series on Saturday night, and a second episode aired on Sunday (April 17).Regular judges Simon, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams are all back on the panel to find the most talented acts Britain has to offer.And it seems head judge Simon had already found his favourite act in the competition, beacause he pressed his Golden Buzzer on 33-year-old property maintenance manager Axel Blake.The London-based comic blew Simon away with his hilarious stand-up routine, which involved jokes about driving, the underground, cryptocurrency and Covid.And Simon was so impressed that he decided to put him straight through to the live semi-finals with the press of a button.ITV viewers were divided by the moment on Twitter, with some thrilled for the comedian and others who didn't believe he deserved Simon's buzzer.One wrote: "Fair play Simon he was very very funny."A second agreed: "Really enjoyed Axel.
