Simon Nellist made the chilling statement on a Facebook post, which seemed to predict his devastating fate as he fell victim to Sydney's first fatal attack in nearly 60 years on Wednesday, February 16.
The 35-year-old was attacked from below by the 13ft-long predator at Buchan Pooint, near Little Bay, less than 500ft away from the main beach.
Simon wrote on Facebook on August 11, 2021: "Shark nets and drum lines protect no one and kill all marine life every year."It has been reported that the swimmer was training for a charity event this weekend, which has since been cancelled, according to 7 News.
According to eyewitnesses, the huge shark swallowed parts of his body before his remains were found hours later."Someone just got eaten by a shark.
