Shane Warne's 'ridiculous' 14-day diet before death had him 'complaining of chest pain'

Shane Warne had been complaining of chest pains in the days leading up to his death, after sticking to a "ridiculous" juice diet for 14-days.That's according to his manager James Erskine, who has revealed fresh details about what happened in the lead-up to the untimely death of the cricket legend.News of Warne's death was announced on Friday, after friends and medics have been unable to revive him in the Thai villa where he had been holidaying.

Erskine has spoken about the diet the Australian had been following in the weeks before his suspected heart attack."He did go on these ridiculous sorts of diets and he just finished one, where he basically only ate fluids for 14 days and he'd done this three or four times, Warne's manager said."It was a bit all or nothing.

It was either white buns with butter and lasagne stuffed in the middle or he would be having black and green juices."He obviously smoked most of his life.

I don't know – I think it was just a massive heart attack. That's what I think has happened."Just days before his death, Warne had announced to his army of social media followers that "Operation Shred" was under way and that he planned to get back into shape.He posted an old photo of himself in top physical condition, along with the caption: "Operation shred has started (10 days in) & the goal by July is to get back to this shape from a few years ago!
