Brits holidaying abroad should wear a mask at all times, a group of the world's biggest travel companies has said. This would see travellers wearing them whilst in hotels and on the beach, as part of strict measures to stop a spike in infection.
The 'new normal' for holidays should see tourists wearing face coverings virtually at all times, no matter where they are, the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) has urged.
This would mean travellers should even wear masks whilst lounging by the pool or on beaches where they can't stay two metres away from their fellow sunseekers.
It recommends that airports, hotels, nightclubs, museums, gyms and all other 'indoor venues', including public areas on cruise ships, all have mandatory mask-wearing
