Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has been criticised for his ‘prickly’ response to questions about the Manchester United job.
Rodgers, 48, has been linked with taking over at Old Trafford amid the increasing pressure on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. Solskjaer remains in charge for Saturday’s trip to Vicarage Road to face Watford despite United having been on the receiving end of four defeats in the last six league games, including losses at home to Manchester City and Liverpool.
No shortage of potential replacements have been linked, including former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, Ajax manager Erik ten Hag and Rodgers.
