Brazil legend Kaka once snubbed a move to Manchester City in favour of joining Real Madrid. Kaka's former agent has revealed the attacking midfielder had the chance to go to the Etihad in 2009 in an £88m deal from AC Milan.
City bosses were looking for a landmark signing and made Kaka a huge offer that would have made him the highest paid star in the Premier League.
But the deal never happened because Kaka decided to go to the Bernabeu instead. His agent Gaetano Paolillo said: "If it was up to Milan, they would've accepted the £88m offer from Manchester City, but Kaka absolutely refused to move. "Every year, Real Madrid would ask if Kaka was available, but Milan had always considered him off the market and he wanted to stay too.
