Vladimir Putin has been accused of "pretending to be macho" with his invasion of Ukraine by heavyweight icons Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko who have called the mad leader "weak".

Wladimir, who held the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, and Ring magazine titles and Vitali, who held the WBO and WBC belts across his career, have spoken about the Russian villain from their heavily guarded bunker in Kyiv.The brothers have become heroes in the fight to keep the invaders at bay having joined Ukraine's Territorial Army, of which Wladimir is chief, on the front line in the battle-torn streets.

Vitali, who is also mayor of Kyiv, told The Mirror: "Russians were once thought of as our brothers. And I have always been taught that you must never fight your brother." Adding: "We are half Russian – our mum is Russian so how can I hate Russians?

I just hate what Putin is doing. Putin is not just evil, he is mentally sick, a coward, pretending to be macho to hide his weakness."With Wladimir agreeing: "Putin is playing macho. Where does Wladimir Klitschko rank among the best heavyweight boxers in history?
