Dundee.Officers and paramedics were called to the scene on Thorter Row, next to the River Tay, at around 9am on Monday after the alarm was raised.
Police Scotland have confirmed that an investigation has been launched however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the woman's death.
A force spokesperson said: “Officers were called to an address in Thorter Row in Dundee at around 9am on Monday June 28 following the sudden death of a 50-year-old woman.“The death is being treated as unexplained, but there are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances.“A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here . .
