'Black-ish' to Air Animated Election Special Ahead of Season Premiere

black-ish is doing things a little differently this year. Before the season seven premiere, the ABC comedy will be airing two episodes – one of them animated – focusing on the upcoming 2020 Presidential Election.

The first episode, a live-action, follows Junior (Marcus Scribner) as be prepares to vote for the first time.

However, he discovers he’s been purged from the voter rolls. Junior then makes it his mission to find out what happened, while taking a deeper look into the voter registration system.

The animated second episode follows Dre (Anthony Anderson) as he deals with boss Mr. Stevens (Peter MacKenzie) making an ill-advised run for Congress.
