Chadwick Boseman died, shocking fans of the beloved actor from around the world.After making his Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) debut in Captain America: Civil War, he went on to star in the box office smash hit, 2018’s Black Panther.The film grossed over £1.1billion at the worldwide box office, propelling the actor to a household name overnight.Four years later, his fans, the Marvel franchise and Hollywood at large shared in their grief over his untimely death.It threw his franchise into doubt as well, with a sequel already in early development at the time.Now it is finally nearly here, with a new Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer showcasing the star and character’s legacy.Chadwick Boseman died at the age of 43 in his LA home after a long-running battle with colon cancer.It was revealed that for years prior, the cancer remained at stage 3, but in 2016 it progressed to stage 4.The actor’s publicist confirmed his death, saying his wife Taylor Simone Ledward and family were with him at the time of his passing.Following his death, they wrote: “A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much.“From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy.”Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be taking into account the death of Chadwick, with the plot using the passing of the titular character as the springboard to its story.The official synopsis reads: “The nation of Wakanda is pitted against intervening world powers as they mourn the loss of their king T'Challa.”The trailer shows the nation of Wakanda in mourning as images of Chadwick’s T’Challa are shown
