Birmingham’s players have reportedly agree to defer half of their wages for the next four months following the coronavirus outbreak.
Professional football has been halted in England until at least the end of April due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With very little incomings, plenty of clubs have been left short on cash and are struggling to pay staff.
The Daily Mail claim Birmingham became the first Championship club to ask players to defer part of their wages with ‘many’ of the squad agreeing.
It’s claimed that the Blues’ squad will be paid in full this month however have accepted a deferral for four months starting in April.
