The BBC has apologised to "disappointed" viewers who deemed its St George's Day coverage "insufficient." England's national day is celebrated on April 23 (Friday), with the Beeb marking it across various platforms.
BBC Radio 5 Live Breakfast and CBeebies programming recognised the occasion, as did Radio 4, which aired a special St George's Day music programme.
However, some viewers weren't content by the level of output on programmes including The One Show and BBC Breakfast. One fuming viewer wrote: "@TheOneShow big deal made of St David's Day & St Patrick's Day.
