Ayrshire girlguiding volunteer makes history after landing new role

Hurlford Girlguiding Scotland leader has made history after being appointed as the lead volunteer for the county of Ayrshire North.

Louise Crichton took on the role of county commissioner of Girlguiding Ayrshire North this autumn after joining Girlguiding Scotland just six years ago.And the 28-year-old has wasted no time in rising through the ranks for she is currently the youngest person to take on the role of a county commissioner in Scotland.Around 140 guiding groups meet regularly in Ayrshire North with 440 volunteers delivering exciting experiences to over 1650 local girls.As county commissioner, Louise will lead a team of dedicated and skilled volunteers to ensure local girls aged five and over have access to the benefits guiding.
